Why she does it: Rachel Grodsky, CerE’06, wants more girls to get involved in math and science because it’s a great career for her. She’s an engineering process supervisor for Honeywell FM&T in Kansas City, Mo., managing a team of 25.

As students, Paul and Kristine Hamilton participated in Engineers Without Borders. Paul, CE’09, traveled to Guatemala with EWB, while Kristine, ChE’09, went to Bolivia.

Looks good on a resume: Michael Lancey, ArchE’06, was the on-site project engineer for the construction of the new Yankee Stadium, a $1.3 billion project in the Bronx, N.Y. Engineering services were provided by Lancey’s employer at the time, Thornton Tomasetti, a firm that specializes in high-rise buildings and sports venues.

Best part of her job: As an actuary, Sarah Klein, Math’03, assesses financial risk and consults with companies on their employee benefit plans, specifically their pharmacy benefits.
