    On Oct. 12, the Miner football team recorded its fifth straight win of the season against NCAA Division I opponent Texas Southern University. The 23-20 victory was the Miners’ first win over a Division I team in 13 years. The win earned national media coverage and put Missouri S&T’s name in headlines in the Washington Post, the Houston Chronicle and USAToday. The Miners ended the season with a 7-4 record.
