Tapping into innovation

Through a new effort called the Technology Acceleration Program (TAP), Missouri S&T is providing seed money for commercially viable research projects in an attempt to move technology out of the laboratory and into the marketplace. It’s doing so by reinvesting the university’s earnings from patents.

McCauley named women’s soccer coach

Missouri S&T selected Joe McCauley to lead the women’s soccer program. McCauley served as head women’s soccer coach for the past six seasons at Eckerd College in Florida. He brings 11 years of head coaching experience to the Lady Miner program, including a five-year stint within the Great Lakes Valley Conference at Bellarmine University.

McCaskill is national runner-up

For the second straight year, Tamara McCaskill, ChE’10, saved her best performance for last as she finished as the national runner-up in the high jump at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Johnson C. Smith University.
