Environment and energy are focus of new S&T center

On Jan. 1, the Energy Research and Development Center and the Environmental Research Center at Missouri S&T combined to form the Center for Research in Energy and Environment.

The center, which is led by Phil Whitefield, chair and professor of chemistry at Missouri S&T, will focus on environmental research, energy technologies and energy security, and will build upon existing partnerships with industry, national laboratories and other universities.
