State’s school boards have a new leader

Gerry Lee, AE’76, is the new president of the Missouri School Boards’ Association. Lee, who worked for 25 years at City Utilities in Springfield, Mo., was previously president of the Springfield school board. He says too much energy is wasted on trying to protect the status quo. He wants to expand early childhood education, integrate more technology and find a way to stabilize state funding for schools.
