On the heels of a season in which it won a share of the GLVC regular-season championship and reached the title game of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional, Missouri S&T’s men’s soccer program began the season among the top teams in the pre-season rankings.

The Miners landed a No. 13 national ranking in the pre-season for Division II by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. S&T also finished 13th in the final national poll a year ago.

The Miners were ranked second among the teams in the Midwest region behind Northern Kentucky University. The only other regional team in the pre-season Top 25 is Ashland, a team the Miners defeated in the opening round of the regional tournament last season.
